What mistakes do first-time buyers often make?
Common pitfalls include stretching the payment, using every reserve dollar, relying on listing descriptions and rushing contract deadlines. Build a written budget, investigate condition and ownership obligations, and understand each decision before committing. Ask questions early rather than hoping uncertainty resolves itself.
How can I reduce buyer’s remorse?
Write down must-haves, tradeoffs and a financial ceiling before touring. After each visit, compare the same criteria and identify unanswered questions. Avoid making a purchase work only through hoped-for appreciation, refinancing or renovations that have not been priced.
What resources help first-time buyers in Washington?
The Washington State Housing Finance Commission offers homebuyer education and information about assistance options. Check current eligibility, participating lenders and whether assistance must be repaid. Use independent education alongside your broker and lender rather than treating any program as guaranteed funding.

Can I work with a broker who speaks my language?
Ask which professional will communicate with you and in what language, including during negotiations and document review. Enrique offers service in English and Spanish. For other language or interpretation needs, discuss arrangements before signing; a translated explanation does not replace understanding the actual contract.
These answers are general education. Confirm property details, current program requirements and your contractual obligations with the appropriate professionals.
